The logic of Search Engine Results Pages (SERP)

Undoubtedly Search Engine Results Pages (SERP) are results that we get through Organic Search or in other words are the pages displayed by search engines in response to a query by a user.

One thing that we must absolutely understand much before to talk about key words is about the concept of geo localization. As search engine Google tends to show us the results more logic on the basis of what we have been searching and on the basis of where we are. Also the language of our search is a factor that makes It self a selection of contents.

Therefore work with a SEO expert can be very useful for you and your team to properly apply all of this and make the right choices.

Clearly this thing make a lot of sense.
In fact if now you are in Cambodia and you want to buy a product or a service, before to get it from abroad you will probably want to check the existing local suppliers. Or, if you are already sure that you want to buy (for example) from Thailand, you will specify to Google adding to the key words of your research the name of the country or of the city.

Google always make a selection of the basis of where we are searching.

Accordingly if we do not specify the country, the city, or the area where we want to focus our research, Google will consider where we are (geo location) and which language we used.
Of course this is important also to organize the SEO activities, because if we can geolocalize the keys that we are pushing, it is always better.

Therefore if we want to try to reach a great position with our keys, we should focus first in the right geographic area or our commercial target. If we have more than one, in different languages, there will be more job to do but of course it is possible.

Definitely find the correct keywords means find keywords that really works for well targeted lead generation.

In the beginning, we must select the key words that will work for out results. How to do it? There are Google tools and other tools that provide support for this. For example there are tools that on the basis of an existing website, they can tell us which key words they are using and if there are active Pay Per Click campaigns that use that key words.

In my opinion, we must always use a certain dose of personal intuition… A smart SEO expert, will be able to focus on the core business of the Customer, and would be able to figure out what the potential Customers will search on Google.
Understanding who are the new Customers first and what would they potentially look for finding your website…

In order to reach a good position via organic research, the two most important phases are undoubtedly :
1) the creation of contents relevant to the key words or key phrases that we are trying to position
2) the implementation of the code in the web application, useful for the same purpose.

What we want doing SEO activities, is bring up the web resource at organic search level. We want to generate more quality web traffic (web visits). More important: we want to help the Customer to improve Brand Reputation and get more money!

Without a doubt organic search is traffic that we get from search engine results that is earned, not paid.
It is a method for entering one or several search terms as a single string of text into a search engine.

Organic search results, appear as paginated lists, are based on relevance to the search terms and exclude advertisements. What does it work? It works that if I have a business about packaging design based in Cambodia we would like that the Google users would be able to find our web resource in the first page(s) of results, when they would do a research on Google engine searching, for example, packaging design Cambodia or probably also packaging design Phnom Penh.
And so on…

We should now talk about search analysis and key words selection in terms of sales psychology and purchasing psychology. This is part of my SEO consulting strategy. I treat it privately with my Clients.

 

 

SEO results require specific web technical conditions

The working conditions in which SEO activities take place are normally 3:

1) if your expectation is really high, your domain name should be strategically selected. You should consider to run your business website using a domain name based on well tested keys combination

2) web application exists and the SEO consultant must analyze it and support for its improvement where necessary, or should tell the IT team that will take care of the implementation, the needed information for this purpose;

3) application is under development and the SEO consultant provides the development team with various technical and logistic information, aimed at correctly implementing the application;

4) web resource has not yet been built, therefore the SEO consultant can (and in my opinion should) also provide precise indications about which web technologies should be used.

Starting from point 3, in fact, it must be specified that in order to reach interesting positions in search engines, it is not enough to optimize the code and to create quality web content.
In addition to this SEO results requires suitable web technology.
